The Nehemiah Project

The purpose of the Nehemiah project is to connect corporate and local businesses with individual talent and staffing through training and development in specialized areas.

The goal is to connect with the community through training programs for local individuals with the purpose of assisting them with obtaining employment.

 


Phase I

Phase I of the project will consist of renovation of the existing facility located at 924—41st Street North in Birmingham, Alabama. The $300,000 renovation budget will be used to develop the existing structure into a multi-modal, multi-use facility

 

Phase II

Phase II of the project will consist of corporate partners allowing their leaders to train and develop internal leaders on their existing corporate processes with commitment to limited staffing positions within the corporate structure


Phase III

Phase III of the project will consist of securing and purchasing equipment to outfit the facility. The $100,000 equipment budget will be utilized to ensure that the program is established for success with the most up to date, state of the art equipment

 

Phase IV

Phase IV of the project will be the initial implementation phase in which we will identify qualified professionals for training and development

 

The Nehemiah Summer Camp: Building Walls to Protect Our Children

The Nehemiah Camp serves to provide a safe place for our community’s children to have fun and enjoy various activities in a safe environment with arts & crafts, recreational activities, and field trips. Field trips include Birmingham landmarks such as the McWane Center, the Birmingham Civil Rights Museum, the Birmingham Zoo, and other recreation-based destinations.
